Support for the Rumble
The Municipality of Roblin is once again sponsoring the 2026 Rumble in Roblin with a grant of $300.
This year’s Rumble is set for Saturday, June 13 with a group cruise planned for Sunday.

Social prescribing now offered
Social prescribing, a model that connects people to community based supports such as social programs, peer groups and practical services, is now available in all five regional health authorities as referrals continue to increase across the province
“When someone is experiencing isolation or has limited access to supports, those realities affect their health just as much as medical needs,” said health minister Uzoma Asagwara. “Connecting people to community programs helps address those challenges earlier, supporting well-being and helping people stay healthier where they live.”

Time to spring ahead
Manitobans are reminded to turn their clocks one hour ahead before going to bed this Saturday night.
Under the Official Time Act, summer time in the province begins on the second Sunday in March.

Education funding falls short
The province released its school funding announcement Feb. 9, touting an increase of $79.8 million for the 2026-27 year, meant to help Manitoba’s school divisions cover increasing operating costs.
Currently working on Mountain View School Division’s budget for the coming year, secretary-treasurer Lori Slepicka said the increase falls well short of meeting the division’s needs.

Knox United hosting World Day of Prayer
Christians around the world will be focusing on the African nation of Nigeria during annual World Day of Prayer services being held across the globe Friday, March 6.
Local residents are being invited to join in the service at Roblin’s Knox United Church.

RCMP respond to 23 calls
Members of the Roblin detachment responded to 23 calls for service in the Roblin area over the last two wees.
There were a total of 78 calls for service in the Prairie Mountain Area.

PMH offers help with your taxes
Prairie Mountain Health’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is gearing up for the 2026 tax season.
You can get your taxes done free of charge if you are single with an income under $35,000; a two person family with income under $45,000; and a three person family with income under $47,500 (add $2,500 for each additional dependent).

RFGC holds inaugural AGM
Roblin’s newly formed wildlife and habitat association hosted the first of what organizers hope will be many more to come annual general meetings.
Around 30 members of the Roblin Fish and Game Club and visitors gathered at the Life & Art Centre, Feb. 4 to hear how the club came into being and what’s going to be on its agenda for the immediate and distant future.

Measles at Ag Days
Public health officials are notifying the public of significant transmission and exposure to measles across the province, with many new cases linked to Manitoba Ag Days, held from Jan. 20 to 22 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.
Dozens of cases are currently under investigation among people who attended Ag Days and reside throughout Manitoba.
