Foundation holds Grants Night
The Roblin District Community Foundation held its annual Grants Night and AGM Wednesday at the Drop-In Centre leaving a lot of people with smiles on their faces.
The foundation disbursed almost $85,000 to 15 local organizations as well as the Roblin Health Centre and the Crocus Court Personal Care Home.

4-H beef club holds Achievement Day
The Prairie Mountain 4-H Beef Club held its Achievement Day June 8 at the fair grounds with 12 members showing their calfs, steers and heifers.
In his last year with the club, Thomas Allen showed the Grand Champion steer, a Hereford weighing in at a whopping 1,530 pounds.

50 years for the Bield hall
The board of the directors of the Bield Community Centre (BCC) hosted a party on June 13 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the facility.
The festivities drew more than 200 people to Bield.

Prairie Mountain RCMP are in need of more jail guards at the Russell detachment.
Your responsibility is to check on the wellbeing of prisoners while they are in cells. Hours vary based on your availability and the need for a guard.

Med students enjoy visit to Roblin
Two first-year med students at the U of M visited Roblin as part Rural Week 2026.
Coordinated annually by the Department of Family Medicine, Shared Health (Manitoba Healthcare Providers Network), and Manitoba’s rural regional health authorities, Rural Week offers students valuable first-hand experience in rural and northern medical practice, while highlighting the benefits of living and working in these communities.

Parkway holds AGM
The Parkway Co-op held another virtual AGM Tuesday (June 9) and celebrated another successful year.
Sales neared the 80 million dollar mark and the co-op realized almost $1.5 million in net savings, up from the $1.1 million achieved in 2024.

Trust fund set up
A trust fund has been set up at Fusion Credit Union to help a victim of the flood waters. Willard Laviolette of Boggy Creek lost everything when his home was flooded out.
Donations are also being accepted at Roblin Home Hardware.
