The nominations are in for the Municipality of Roblin Municipal Election, scheduled for October 28, 2026. After concerns that people may not show enough interest to run for election, the number of candidates who have come forward after the closing of nominations shows that there will be an election for both head of council and councillors.
For head of council, there are two candidates running to lead the municipality, Graeme Conway and Robert Misko.
For the six councillor spots on council, there are a total of 18 candidates seeking election: Paulina Alyward, David Baranowski, Matthew Bauer, Douglas Borkofsky, Richard Dereniwski, Tracy Dube, Michael D. Friesen, Lynn Greenberg, Walter Hammond, Dienel Laliberte, Bob Matsyk, Elsie Morash, Stan Steciuk, Neil Vogel, Leroy Wandler, Verlin Wiebe, Greg Woodman and Courtney Znak.
The Roblin and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Municipal Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7 p.m., at the Roblin Community Centre.
